Welcome.

It's Lizzy’s history of athletics that brought her into her first yoga class 15 years ago but it’s her journey toward personal integrity, compassion and pain-free movement that lead her to study the practice. She is recognized by Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 and 500 hour level. In 2018 she added a Pilates certification to her repertoire, further integrating her body and mind. Lizzy is based in Santa Cruz, CA and teaches throughout Northern California and B.C.S Mexico.

Inspiration

Lizzy’s teaching is informed by the Krishnamacharya lineage with primary themes of breath and personalized practice.  She has studied Tantra, Ayurveda and Classical Mat Pilates in addition to Yoga and Meditation. She believes that movement is medicine and that there is an appropriate practice for anyone who goes looking for it.

Her most influential teachers are her loved ones and the natural world as well as various formal teachers. Specifically Alice Joanou and Marimar Higgins.

May we be protected both together. May we be nourished both together. May we grow in spiritual knowledge and energy both together. May our study together be luminous. May we not hate or have discord between us. Om, peace, peace, peace.
— Krishna Yajurveda Taittiriya Upanishad (rough translation)
